DELIVERY and PICKUP
Do we need to be there for delivery?
No, most of the time I can gain access through your rental agency by key or door code.
What if I am doing a private rental?
Depending on where you are staying will depend on the answer. If example, you are on Sanibel in a private single family home I do not have any issues with leaving the items outside under cover.
Is there a charge for delivery?
I have a $10 delivery fee for Sanibel and Captiva. once charged, if you decide to pickup the items the $10 is non refundable.
Can every item be picked up at your business?
No, I do not allow cribs, rollaway beds or beach wheelchairs to be picked up from my business. They must be delivered.
Is there a maximum number of items that can be picked up to avoid a delivery fee?
What time will you deliver my items?
I deliver between 10am and 3pm in peak season so it will depend on which end of which island you are on. If you want to order something and get it the same day you must call me at 239-472-9789
for possible same day delivery.
Do we need to place the rental items outside for pickup?
No, normally if the items were inside when you arrived just leave them inside. This means I am working with your rental agent for access to your unit. If we have made special arrangements then I would ask you to place them outside.
What if the items are not ready outside as scheduled for the pickup driver?
I will reschedule and you will be charged an additional $10 fee.
What rental agencies do you work with?
I work with every rental agent, rental office and front desk office on both islands. All resorts, inns, hotels, cottages and condos.
Is there a delivery fee?
Any order placed on or after 12/1/12 will incurr a $10 taxable delivery fee to Sanibel or Captiva Islands regardless of the amount of items ordered. Once charged, if you decide to pickup the items the $10 is non refundable.
What if a relative previously placed an order and now I need to order items for my family for the same address? Do I pay a 2nd delivery fee?
Yes, The fee is $10 per order.
What if I didn't pay a delivery fee last time I rented from you?
Due to gas prices and the nature of my business you will now be charged $10 per delivery order.
Do you offer after hour delivery?
After hour deliveries may be made in advance and have a $35 delivery fee. If you cancel after the after hour driver has loaded the vehicle you will incur an additional $25 restocking fee. If you cancel at the door or with minimal notice there is an additional fee which goes directly to the driver.
What if we get to the island and then want to order for the same day?
Depending on the time of day you call will depend on same day delivery. Certain items can be picked up at my business with minimum notice. I suggest ordering in advance.
Are you open on holidays?
I try not to work on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day. I will work with you as best I can if there are no other options.
Are your cribs safe?
Yes, my full size cribs were beautifully handcrafted locally in 2010 and 2011. They are made of Maple which is a very hard wood. They conform to all the current federal safety guidlines. They have 1 side that folds down and 2 wheels that lock.
Do the cribs fit through the door or are they easy to move?
No, they normally do not fit through the average door of a residence but simply remove the mattress, lift up the floor of the crib and they will accordian close.
What comes with the crib?
They come with a clean bottom fitted sheet and a 4" thick foam mattress and I offer free set up in any room.
What type of laundry detergent is used on the crib sheets?
The sheets are laundered in my own home. I use unscented Publix brand laundry detergent.
Are your baby items clean?
All my items are cleaned and sanitized between rentals. I do my best to deliver a good clean safe product to you. Sometimes the sanitized items may be delivered with other items that are not sanitized such as jogging strollers or beach wagons. Unfortunately, that cannot be avoided.
How should I order?
Placing your order online is quick and easy. You will receive an email confirmation within 24 hours. If I need any clarification regarding your order I will contact you. Telephone volume is high in the winter months so this is the easiest and quickest way.
How far in advance should I place my order?
Orders may be placed up to 1 year in advance online. When you place your order online or by phone your credit card is charged the full amount which reserves your items. So if you are renting in peak season or around a holiday I suggest you order 60-90 days in advance. If you are placing your order in February, March or April please place it online as these are high call volume months. If you have any difficulty on line, then call me. It's a good idea to place your order when you make your plane and car rental reservations.
What credit cards do you take?
Visa and Mastercard. No checks.
What if we order something and when we arrive the unit already has them? (ie.beach chairs, umbrella)?
I do not give refunds on delivered items but you may exchange them for other items of equal value. (ie. beach towels, beach wagon)
What if we order and pay for some items then want to cancel 1 or 2 more than 30 days from our arrival date?
A 50% credit will be run on your credit card.
What if we order and pay for some items them want to cancel 1 or 2 less than 30 days from our arrival date?
Only 10% of your grand total will be refunded.
What if we are unable to make our trip and need to cancel everything?
25% of your total order is non refundable regardless of the timeframe.
If I place an order then want to add items at a later date what should I do?
Email me your original order# and the items you want to add and I will process it manually and confirm back. (If you do a 2nd online order you will be charged a 2nd non refundable delivery fee)
